Christmas Cruises for 2021

Family Christmas Cruising

With so much uncertainty around border openings and travel restrictions in place right now, we thought it would be a good idea to fast forward to 2021. Let’s take a look at Christmas Cruises that are booking now for Christmas 2021.

Cruise holidays really are the ultimate Christmas getaway and are an amazing treat for extended family groups. There is something for everyone onboard a cruise ship and always something that appeals across all generations.

A couple of years ago we cruised the Panama Canal over the Christmas / New Year holidays and were amazed to see families of all combinations and age groups on board. Nobody does Christmas like a cruise line, with the ships decked out in the most amazing festive decorations. The Christmas dinner was the stuff of legends and the New Years party was one we will never forget.

When it comes to Christmas cruising you don’t have to travel far for a wide choice of itinerary options and ships to suit. Below are our top picks and some ideas of what you can expect on board

Who doesn’t love a Beachy Christmas day!

Cruising close to home can also be cheaper than you think! Remember a cruise holiday includes your accommodation, all main meals, world class entertainment and your transport between your destinations.

Royal Caribbean International are basing Radiance of the Seas in Brisbane for Summer 2021. Although not one of their Theme Park style ships, Radiance of the Seas is a firm Kiwi favourite. She has a fantastic choice of dining venues, legendary entertainment and kids clubs so good that you will wonder if the kids even came along with you on holiday.

Departing Brisbane 21 December 2021, Radiance of the Seas will offer a classic Barrier Reef Itinerary including stops at Airlie Beach, Cairns (overnight), Port Douglas and scenic cruising past Willis Island. We love the overnight stop in Cairns as this means you can take in more of the amazing sightseeing in the Tropical North region.

P&O Australia Pacific Explorer another Kiwi favourite will be based out of Melbourne for Christmas 2021 and will offer an in-depth Tasmania cruise itinerary. Tassie is a fantastic destination to explore and so if you are looking for a more active itinerary, rather than a flop and drop this could be perfect for you. Be sure to book in early for the complimentary restaurants Angelos and Dragon Lady. They are included in your fare and will be a firm favourite with everyone in the family.

Pacific Explorer Departs Melbourne 20 December 2021, stops include Hobart, Port Arthur and Burnie in Tasmania, plus Kangaroo Island.
