P&O Extend pause in cruise operations to 29 April 2021

P&O Cruises Australia announced this morning an extension to its rolling pause in operations to all departures on and before 29 April 2021 as the cruise line and the wider industry continue to work with government and public health authorities on the appropriate time to resume cruising.

This pause extension will affect nine Pacific Explorer departures from Auckland between 12 March to 25 April 2021.
The cruise line, which has based ships in Auckland for many years, will return to New Zealand for a dedicated 150-day season in July 2022.

In Australia, Pacific Adventure is scheduled to commence sailing from Sydney on 30 April 2021 and Pacific Encounter due to call Brisbane home from 7 May 2021.

Guests booked on the affected Pacific Explorer departures will have 3 options:  

  • Move-over offer to a similar itinerary at a later date.  If you wish to do a move-over to a 2022 departure, please advise your preferred alternative departure. Move Over options

Please note: If you have previously received a Bonus Offer for another cruise cancelled in a previous pause of operations, you are not eligible for another Bonus Offer under this round of cancellations. If you have applied a Future Cruise Credit issued under a previous round of cancellations to this impacted booking, the value of that Future Cruise Credit will be re-applied to their Cruiseling code (CCN) for future use.

You deserve a holiday and something to look forwards to and P&O would love for you to cruise with them in the future. P&O are offering guests a Future Cruise Credit to the value of the gross amount paid plus BONUS onboard spending money for you to enjoy on your next P&O cruise holiday. The amount of onboard spending money you will receive is based on the length of the cancelled cruise, as per below table:

Any items you have pre-purchased, such as shore tours and beverage packages, will be automatically cancelled and refunded via the original payment method.  Please allow up to 60 business days for your refund to be processed.

Your Future Cruise Credit can be used towards your cruise fare payment for any booking with P&O Cruises Australia and can be applied to multiple bookings. Onboard Spending Money can only be applied to one cruise booking. Please be sure that you make the new booking by 31 December 2021 otherwise the Future Cruise Credit and Onboard Spending Money will expire.

Remember, you will not be eligible for this Bonus Offer if you have previously received an offer from P&O Cruises Australia in relation to a prior pause. If a Future Cruise Credit was used to pay for a booking that is affected by the announcement today, the value of the Future Cruise Credit will be re-applied to your Cruiseling code for future use.
